ironpoorer 88 Posted November 3, 2016 10 mo out from VSG; down 120 lbs. Not had any problems other than low B-12. Just got told today that I have a urinary tract infection, was complaining about overall nausea and inability to Urinate more than a dribble, headaches and weakness/dizziness. Anyone else have any issues with these? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Travelher 915 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) I've had a lot of them in the past. I've been trying my darnedest to get lots Water in because I tend to get them when I don't drink/pee enough. When I get them they progress to extremely severe within about 4 HRs (bleeding, fever chills and excruciating pain) because of this my doctor has always given me a bottle of pills so I can start treating right away. I suspect this severe reaction is probably unusual. Edited November 5, 2016 by Travelher
Frustr8 7,886 Posted August 13, 2018 Well I think a UTI is coming on. Now what did I do to deserve it? I take Ditropan for spasms daily, but I've noticed when I am in the throes of UTI I don't have burning anymore, just urgency and feeling what I consider guys may feel after being hit in the groin. In my case, like somone took their fist,to my lady parts. So here goes the repeated bottles of Water, start on my Keflex, foul tasting stuff, tastes like mold smells and weaken down my diet cranberry juice, because cranberry is NOT. MY favorite juice. And I would guess there's microscopic blood in my urine, someday I'm going to pop a kidney stone to justify,it. Mind you I REALLY don't want one, just figure its my fate because like my bari-friend @Little Kansas Kitty I am triple-renal and she had one in the recent past.💦💦
