weneebug 88 Posted November 2, 2016 Hi! I am new to the site and to lap band. I had my surgery on 10/31 and weighed 217 pounds. I weighed yesterday and had gained 2 pounds, weighed again this morning and have gained another 3 pounds. Is this normal? I am only consuming liquids so I would expect it to drop quick. It's really discouraging because I feel like I am starving.
drawls6u 3 Posted November 5, 2016 I'm looking for the same answer. I was banded three weeks ago and I've gained three pounds as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
rolosmom7 740 Posted November 6, 2016 Water weight is real - don't forget you were pumped full of IV fluids.
Joy@boman 151 Posted November 6, 2016 Your body hoards liquids after trauma. The swelling protects you. But it can lead to temporary weight gain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Erin25 3 Posted December 2, 2016 I agree with TeeTree. Wonton Soup and Jello are great for me so far. You can actually order just the broth from most places. They look at you a little funny, but you still get the tastes you love without all the stuff you can't eat yet.
