Dr suggestions? Thinking of going to Virtua in SJ.

Recommended Posts

So I wanted to go to Atlantic care but it's out of network.

My mother works for Virtua and refuses to let me see one of the drs in the practice but I was thinking of seeing Dr. Wasser.

It's fully covered since she works for the hospital but that is not a reason to pick them if others have had bad experiences recently. There are other Drs in the area that are in network, Virtua is just convenient.

I was also considering Kennedy healthcare near the lindenwold speed line, I think it is Dr Marc Neff (Not positive on the spelling of that) He isn't Virtua preferred but in network.

I was looking on here scrolling through old posts and I haven't really found anything current about Virtua other than stuff from 2013 or older.

So if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear.

Thank you so much

Kristin

HI Kristin

May I ask why your mom does not want you to go to anyone at Virtua?

I am using Virtua - Dr. Wasser in fact and I just got my surgery date December 6th.

I chose Virtua because it is convenient for me location wise and they have monthly support group meetings. That and they covered under my insurance.

My friend used Dr. Neff and loved him.

There is actually an informational meeting before the support group tomorrow night at the Moorestown location if you wanted to check it out.

I see Dr.Schurict. He is part of Penn and he attends at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philly but he does have an office in Cherry Hill. I have always gone to his Philly office. My surgery is scheduled for 11/23 he and his team have been awesome. My post open appt will be at the cherry Hill office. I don't know if Philly is too far north but the whole program there is great. My SIL had her suegery with him a year ago and she's done great.
