I've been at the same weight about 2 weeks now. It's normal (albeit frustrating as hell). I'm 7 weeks out, so stalled around 5 weeks. I don't eat enough Protein, so I'm working on that.

I'm sure your sleeve is awesome and the scale will move in time!

I just had my sleeve done a week ago, so my experience with stalls comes from my previous non-surgical weight loss.

I lost 100lbs over an 18 month period in 2011-2012 following a strict ketogenic diet. I started on Atkins, and gradually eliminated some of the foods that were slowing my loss (like cheese and artificial sweeteners of all kinds).

A stall is defined by Dr Atkins as a period where your weight and measurements don't improve for 6 weeks. As you lose fat, your body begins to reproportion fat from certain areas to others. Usually during a stall on the scale, you will notice your abdominal fat, thighs, hips, bum, breasts will diminish as the fat is redistributed to other areas.

If after 6 weeks there is still no movement, it's usually time to take inventory of what you're eating and look for culprits (for me, dairy products and processed foods will stall my weight loss).

Of course, for women there are a few days each months where Water retention will mask any weight loss, and usually there is a satisfying "whoosh" of a few pounds all at once afterwards.

Hi friends,

I really need some encouragement. The scale has not moved in over 2 weeks. I'm really questioning if it's working...

Change things up a bit. Make sure you are getting enough Protein and fluids. Move some more. Stalls are common and you're probably losing inches. Just hang in there and stay off the scale for a while.

Keel going... then suddenly you will see the scale drop. I have found that since surgery I hold a lot of Water as I don't drink as much as I should or used to, as soon as I have a couple of days of getting in my two litres a day then the scales suddenly plummet

Hi there! Just checking on you! I hope your stall has broken. How's it going? Are you losing inches and weight? Hope all is well. :) :D

Hi butterfly, it will work ! I was in a stall for over 3 weeks and now it's flying off again. I felt the same way as you do now . Someone told me on here the weight loss sneaks up on you and it certainly do.

I'm a little over 2 weeks out from getting sleeved (11/16/16), dropped a quick 20lbs, but have stalled for the past few days (even gained a couple pounds). I discussed with my doctor during the follow-up two days ago and he said this is typical. Most weight loss comes in month 2 and 3 post-op.

For what its worth. The way my doctor explained. You will start loosing once you start eating your Proteins. He said that the first few weeks your body thinks you're starving yourself and it's holding on to the Proteins in fat. After my initial 2-3 weeks I started loosing again.
