So a few months ago I started regurgitating at night when I ate after 7pm. Went to see my doctor in May and he took all of the liquid 2.5 out my band and told me to wait a couple of months. I gained 15lbs!!! then went back for a fill in July 2016 for 1.75, and gained another 2lbs! Then went back for another fill in Aug.2016 to total 2.0 inside my band, now here I am in Oct 2016 and I've gained another 2lbs!!! And now my port area is sore :( I emailed my doctor and he said sometimes it gets sore if it's really close to the skin, but if it gets red he will have to see me and see what's going on.

I've had my band since March of 2007 and never had any issues. Till now, and now I'm gaining weight

I'm so stressed out, overwhelemed and just wish I had the money to get it removed and get a gastric by-pass. If only I could win the lottery to pay for the removal of the band and get a gastric by-pass better. My current insurance doesn't cover any of them which sucks!

But the worst part is that I paid cash for my band in 2007 and not here I am gaining weight instead of loosing and no money to change to another surgery. I need a miracle!!!

I send you my prayers and good thoughts. It sounds like you are having a tough time. Sorry I don't have any helpful advice as I'm pre surgery for a sleeve.

What's causing the weight gain? If you ever lost weight before you had surgery, you know how to do it. Are you able to focus on what you really want -- to lose weight, that is -- while you seek a solution regarding your band?

Keep in mind that the amount of Fluid in a band means nothing. What matters is that the amount, whatever it is, gives the desired result. You may need more Fluid to get the band back in the saddle.

At first I guess because of the unfill, he took out all 2.5 of it. And slowly put back a total of 2.0 into the band. Thought with that much in there it would atleast take me back to the weight I was before the unfill :/

So you never lost the original 15lbs even after getting 2.0 added back but gained 4lbs more instead, bringing you to 19lbs gained total?

Since 2.5 was causing reflux I would aim for 2.25 for a few months and see what results that will get you

Yes, even with refill of 2.5 I haven't lost the ones I gained since the unfill. I was hoping to atleast go back to the weight I was before the unfill :/

I've been feeling fine no reflux or regurgitation and looking into getting another appointment to get a endoscopy and a slight refill

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
