So I had my surgery on 5/27. When I started this journey I weighed 540 pounds. At the surgery date I weighed 480. And now I weigh 372. I think I'm starting to get some hanging skin but I'm not sure.

The one side of my stomach hangs a lot lower than my other side. Has that happened to any of you that one side of your stomach hanged lower than your other side?

It's very annoying and I'm still like 170 pounds from my goal weight. I'm worried it will give me issues even before I get to goal weight...

Do you have any input?

Sounds like you need to see a plastic surgeon especially if you are getting broken skin or rashes under your areas of loose skin. Sometimes treating this is not considered cosmetic surgery.

I have noticed with my weight loss that as my body is rebalancing itself between drops in weight, that I do have a little more hanging on one side than the other. I have never had that before. It doesn't seem to get continuously worse, because it's like in between or every 15 to 20 pounds my body tends to stall and rebalance

I know I will once I reach goal but unfortunately I'm still pretty far away from that! Still about 170-200 pounds away :(

I'm glad to hear of someone else experiencing this (not glad it happens but glad I'm not alone ). I hope my body rebalances out!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
