Djmohr 6,965 Posted November 1, 2016 In the beginning until you get the hang of it straws can cause you to gulp or put air in your belly. It wont hurt your pouch but gulping air is painful. Even now after 2 years every once in a while I gulp some air and it sucks..... I drink using a straw every day though.....I started using a straw around 9 months post op after having cervical fusion surgery. It was just easier and have been ever since. Many people on this site use a straw.
Rosey posey 176 Posted November 1, 2016 You suck in air, you get pain , call him, and wake him up? Your guess is as good as mine or he likes the sense of controlling YOU? Sent from my S55 using the BariatricPal App

RJrocks 69 Posted November 2, 2016 I want to know if my surgeon will use stiches or staples. I hate the additional scarring of staples so will insist on stitches. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using the BariatricPal App
