blizair09 3,250 Posted October 31, 2016 Today, Day 32 post-op, I got in all of my Protein with NO Protein SHAKES! I was able to add fish today (salmon specifically), so that did the trick. And I got to 900 calories for the first time. It took me 14 hours of eating and drinking to get everything in and account for the 30 minutes before/after eating "no water" periods. I got in 910 calories, 17 carbs, and 90 grams of protein. I'm sure there will be days when I have to have Protein shakes for one reason or another, but I am going to Celebrate the fact that I am finally in a place where I won't have to rely on them every day! Onward!!

ppressey24 254 Posted November 3, 2016 Im 4wks out and since i had the surgery, i cant stand any Protein shake. The dr wasnt so much concerned with Protein right now. Just me being able to get these fluids in. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
GoldenLife1991 18 Posted November 4, 2016 Yeah I'm 4 weeks out too. My dr.s main concern was fluids as well. I have been able to get about 45 g of Protein. I have found a juice Protein Drink that didn't taste so chaulky. It has 15 g of whey Protein.< /p> Living life like it's golden! A change is coming!!!! I have been taking Isopure, it is more thin liquid and 40gm of protein per bottle, it works for me. Try it.
