smilenamy 2 Posted October 29, 2016 My name is Amy and I had my surgery on October.24th,2016. It has been quiet a week. My surgery went well, but the medical gas that they filled my stomach with settled in the back of my neck and head and right after surgery, that was the pain that I felt. I have had some stomach pain but nothing compared to pain in my neck. I have done well with my walking since surgery. My weight since 2 weeks before surgery has gone from 243 to 219. My clothes feel better. Still trying to walk the gas out. I am having to get neck massages for my neck. So ready to see what the next couple of weeks has to hold. Bill0565 15 Posted October 29, 2016 Had surgery same day, my gas stayed in stomach region, getting better now. Amazing how much gas. I think they use gas to create space to operate, not just to test sutures in stomach. I hope you neck feels better quick. Finished 2 Protein shakes yesterday. Plus good amount of Water Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Babbs 14,681 Posted October 29, 2016 Expect a stall with your weight loss in the next couple weeks, but don't freak out when it happens. It's normal, and your body is just taking a break from your awesome losses you've had. You should start feeling better as each day goes by and you get that trapped gas out. Glad things are going so well for you otherwise!

Bill0565 15 Posted November 16, 2016 By the way my surgeon confirmed they use gas to create space to operate, that's why we have so much gas after surgery Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
