dolphanbill55 0 Posted September 8, 2007 i read in an artcle a few weeks ago about banding and at the same time severing some group of nerves in the stomach. This nerve seems to cease all pangs of hunger. It is why after RNY the patient is not hungry and actually needs to be reminded to eat. Anybody hear of this combination of procedures? Jachut 487 Posted September 8, 2007 Its not the first time I've heard it mentioned but I find it hard to picture exactly what they'd do. It'd be the vagus nerve I assume? Which has other functions.... I dont know. But yes, I have heard of it.
