Healthwise Hot chocolate made with Fairlife Skim Milk=120 cals, 22 g Protein

Black Bean "Soup"-puree one can of black Beans (drained), 1/2 c. salsa, 2 c. chicken broth-makes four servings-one serving =120 cals, 10.5 g Protein (you can add unflavored Protein powder to kick it up to 34 g. protein).

"Cheesecake" yogurt-1 c. plain nonfat greek yogurt, 1 tbs S/F Cheesecake pudding mix, 1/2 c. unsweetened almond milk-91 cals, 11.6 g. protein

I'm also on full liquids and these have helped me to get through the last few days.

@, great recipes! I wish I had know about them when I was on full liquids! Anything that tastes like cheesecake is a win for me. :P

@@TanishaP,

Beyond my Protein shakes, I ate Oikos triple Zero yogurt, and strained Soups. My favorite was (and still is) Tomato Basic Bisque (strained). I wasn't very creative in that stage.

Great advice. I will be trying these when I start my liquid diet soon.

I am also in full liquids mode until 11/7. Today I went to a higher end grocery store in my town and bought 8 different kinds of Soups that I can blend. Tonight was Cheesy chicken Enchilada that I added skim milk to. Delicious!! You may want to check out different grocery stores.

Sleeved 10/24. Full liquids until 11/7 and need ideas please. I want to be able to meal prep even this early on so that it becomes a habit. Decided this after a not so pleasant episode with oatmeal yesterday... that for once, I am not going to rush this and I need to let my body heal and just start fresh... Any ideas to help get over 65g Protein a day would really be appreciated! Thanks

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
