jwidner 17 Posted October 27, 2016 I'm headed to my 1 week post op appointment. I'm excited to see how much weight I've lost but I'll be saddened if it's not much. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
KristenLe 5,979 Posted October 27, 2016 @@jwidner Please don't be disappointed - we usually gain weight after surgery with all of the fluids from the IVs and swelling. Concentrate on getting in your fluids and Protein - don't worry so much about the scale at this point! Good luck at your appointment!
jwidner 17 Posted October 27, 2016 Thank you @@KristenLe I gained 2 pounds. So I'm at a total of 20 pound loss since I started. What you said is exactly what the dietitian said. I'm not doing so well with my Protein. So I have to get at least 2 shakes in a day. And I suck at taking my Vitamins. brendaew 12 Posted October 28, 2016 Water, Protein and Vitamins should be the most important thing you do everyday and adding in exercise. Make sure you're adding Biotin for your hair. I hear so many people talk about losing hair, I can honestly say my hair is thicker than ever and I'm really on purpose will all my Vitamins, Water and Protein Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
