They said it really isnt nothing you can do about it. If youre getting your Proteins in and fluids and taking your Vitamin, thats all u can do. If you weren't doing all these things, thats what theyd be telling you to do. Im only 3wks out and im dredding that part. Some lose alot of hair and some people dont. But i went through chemo and lots all my hair so if i start, ill just shave it and it will grow back

It is completely normal between months 3 and 9.

The hair follicles go to sleep during surgery and take three months to fall out. You will not go bald but many people get a short layered cut so it blends in better. It will grow back.

Hi, don't panic it's normal. Mine is finally tapering off. I was shedding like a St. Bernard! Mine lasted about 10 months, drove me crazy, I left a trail wherever I went! It was quite the experience. Mine was coming out so fast & furious I thought I was going to end up at some hair transplant club, Lol. Just go with it, smile and it will stop. I can tell you this but you won't fully believe it until it actually stops. Best wishes & hang in there, keep a sense of humor about it & you'll be ok!!

It is normal. hair loss normally occurs during the weight loss phase. After you transition into the Maintenance phase, your Hair loss should come to an end and most of your hair will grow back in.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
