Tessa-VSG 20 Posted October 26, 2016 Hello everyone hope youre all having a wonderful day! I had my sleeve done back in April 2016 i am five months post op and ive lost 38 kgs so far! 7 to 6 more kgs to my ultimate goal! Woho! Everything is going so well! But because im almost at my goal weight i have some problems.. My belly! Everything have shrunk and looks perfect, i have almost no saggy skin due to my daily gym visits. But my belly still holds its shape. Smaller, yes. But the same, and its driving me crazy. I look exactly how i imagined i would look at this weight, but i didnt expect that my belly wont budge. Any tips and trick? Please advise Thank you for your time❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
PorkChopExpress 821 Posted October 26, 2016 Just remember that you still have adipose fat in your skin, concentrated in that area...that's why it looks the way it does right now. The lower your bodyfat percentage goes, the less pronounced it's going to be. As you get closer to goal, it'll require fine-tuning your diet to hit that last stubborn fat, and zeroing in on your exercise. Weight training can really help a lot, in that regard. When you see people who have lost all of their fat and get really lean, the skin just looks wrinkly around the abdomen, loose but not thick. So don't get discouraged, just realize that this is where you start to zero in on that perfect balance of Protein, carbs and fats, and your exercise regimen, to get the bodyfat percentage down. It's exactly what people have to do in order to get their abs to start showing, too. They only show when you get the BF% down.

At least this is what my doctor told me Plus working out this early might cause dizziness and shortness of breath. You'll find yourself weaker than you were before. Check again with your doctor, good luck and never lose the motivation❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

PorkChopExpress 821 Posted October 26, 2016 Give yourself at least six weeks to be fully healed, that would be my suggestion. Then start easing into the weights and see how you feel. But they say it takes six weeks for the stomach to heal fully from this surgery, so give it the time it needs. I'll be starting in a little over a week or so, probably. Im 3wks out.
