Lema 236 Posted October 26, 2016 Try in an Iranian restaurant or shops they have a great Greek like yogurt to drink has a great tast . That's called dogh which is Persian for buttermilk. The buttermilk you get from the dairy section at Safeway or super sore gets diluted with Water and then it's served. Our version is a little more sour than the ones you get from the stores. Shell ???? 224 Posted October 26, 2016 They gave me yogurt in the hospital the day after my sleeve surgery smooth no fruit lumps I ate one teaspoon I was terrified of what the outcome would be but stick to what your surgeon and NUT say Sent from my iPhone
ella37 455 Posted October 26, 2016 I was also allowed yogurt as long as it was blended (like no fruit on the bottom or chunks).
lizardqueen 56 Posted October 26, 2016 I was allowed Greek yogurt with no fruit. I would suggest Oikos Greek 10 10 10 in drinkable form to start. They have them in several flavors and help with your Protein. Not high in carbs either. Drink slowly. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
PorkChopExpress 821 Posted October 26, 2016 I didn't cheat at all. In fact I took the sample diet my nutritionist gave me and that's basically what I ate every day for two weeks. I took a lot of pride in not having screwed up, that two weeks...and the scales the morning of surgery made it worthwhile, when I saw I'd dropped over 30lbs before surgery. Raynbolite 302 Posted October 26, 2016 I was allowed lite yogurts an Greek lite as long as no lumps from post op day one. I did fine. Was the best part of the liquid diet...I did add milk to make the Greek go down smoother for the first week. That was not my drs order though, was my choice. laceemouse 631 Posted October 27, 2016 Cheating?? I would call it Russian roulette!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App In my program everything that a spoon can't stand up in is a liquid, so yogurt may not be a cheat at all depending on what the OP has been told. I am surprised that people don't pay more attention, have a list of approved foods on the fridge, and go shopping before the surgery. My surgery is next Monday and you better believe I am going to stock up on everything I am allowed to eat. Even if I don't feel hungry I know I am going to be weak and shaky with such a low amount of calories going in. I know I am going to have to take it slow but you better believe I am going to try anything and everything my team says is okay as soon as they say it's okay.
