pfistasista 0 Posted September 8, 2007 I had my band put on Aug. 13. My first fill is Sept. 13th...I cannot wait! I am at thestage where I can eat pretty much anything. I am sure things will be different after the fill but I will still have to eat. I travel a lot with my job and I just get really hungry on the road. I never know what to eat. I need some guidance from those of you who work on the road. I also find it so hard to not drink a 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after. If anyone has any suggestions that can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
mommiranda 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Its really hard to eat on the road, especially if you are post-fill/surgery which restricts you to liquids. My solution is to pack in ALOT of Atkins shakes and check my luggage. That way I don't have to think about getting food at all. The other challenge is the social dinners; I try to order Soup, but sometimes I am just hungry. I also find the starbucks in the airport to be useful for their frappucinos and have wired the location of juice/smoothie places in various airports. Good luck - I travelled just a few days after banding. It was tough but the work got my mind off of it.
crazycat 2 Posted September 8, 2007 Try ordering a hamburger with no bun. It becomes really good salad. I carry a power bar in my purse all the time.
