doxaholic 252 Posted October 24, 2016 Does anyone else think wls folks would have an advantage as the survivors in the walking dead? Sorry i just had too so disappointed. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
PorkChopExpress 821 Posted October 24, 2016 I thought that episode was awesome, gut-wrenching and grueling...loved it. But only people who have already succeeded with WLS and got fit would survive that world. Right now, I'd be zombie meat. I can't run lol
doxaholic 252 Posted October 24, 2016 I loved it too, but i ruined it for myself did so much reading about it and watching videos in between the weight loss videos that the surprise factor got lost. My fault not the show. Thanks for answering i was curious if there were any wls fans. Yeah i would be more bait myself but not for long.???? Dub 9,922 Posted October 24, 2016 Wow......unreal. First episode opened up bigtime. The aftermath of those developments is going to be impossible to recover from for the group.....and yet...they always do...somehow. I was grateful that I didn't know who it was going to be. I had my guesses. Further demonstration that the real horrors they face are other people and not the zombies.
PorkChopExpress 821 Posted October 24, 2016 @@Dub I have been a reader of the comic, it's been cool to see the show purposely try to "swerve" people who know how the story goes in the comic book. They surprised me a few times in this episode, which was great. I still can't get over how asinine it is that they won't let Negan be as foul-mouthed as he is in the comic book, but they'll show graphic violence that would usually only make it on premium cable channels. We are a weird people lol
Heather I 500 Posted October 24, 2016 I'm heartbroken, and I was initially excited to see Negan; but now I just feel flat. IDK if I want to keep watching if Rick and the group are broken.
Mindy78 372 Posted October 24, 2016 Loved the suspense. Definitely kept me guessing. I had the same thoughts about those who have had wls. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
Malin 470 Posted October 24, 2016 Too funny! I was thinking the same thing about WLS survivors! Makes foraging for food easier! But, ALL THE FEELS! I knew both characters die in the graphic novels/comic books...and Stephen Yeun is a voice actor in the new Voltron series (yeah, I watch cartoons! Norman Reedus did a voice for the new Voltron series too!) so I had a feeling Glen was going to go. I keep saying "I can't take anymore of this!" in terms of the emotional rollercoaster TWD deals out each season, but I keep coming back. If Darryl dies, we riot. sammy246 235 Posted October 24, 2016 I was honestly devastated. I cried in my couch like a 2 year old and relived all the scenes with my fav guy (other than Daryl.) I don't know if I can watch anymore. And to think I originally thought Negan was sexy!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Icantbelieveit 955 Posted October 24, 2016 I was starting to think that it was all a dream when rick was thinking everyone got smashed. But those two are the ones I was thinking that were in the running to get it. But I thought only one got it. Boy I was shocked. I was thinking red got it because of his size and glen might get it because of how people got upset thinking he died last season, plus the Maggie baby angle. But once they showed sunday dinner table, I lost it. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App
ocgirl15 667 Posted October 24, 2016 That episode was gut wrenching... Which is why I watch walking dead. It impacts me on a primal emotional level in a way no other show ever has. It is pure brilliance... The writing the acting.... Wow!!! If I wanted some feel good fluff I would watch an abc, nbc or cbs comedy. You literally feel your ARE going through he apocalypse on an emotional level. I think WLS at goal... Who is in reasonable shape might have an advantage or least be equal... We are use to surviving on less food.
