First day back to work [emoji15]

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Back to work tomorrow after surgery and I'm really nervous to go back. I've gotten myself in a routine at home and now have to get back to reality. I'm nervous I will be to tired and overwhelmed from it all.

Any advice?

I have the hardest time with my routines at work. I am not allowed to drink or eat on sales floor but if you have a job that you can (like in an office) it should not be too hard to stick to your routine. Also if you have to set yourself reminder timers when you should eat or drink. Staying hydrated is the most important thing above all else.

I am going back to work tomorrow also. A little nervous as I have my routine at home also. I do work in an office and can drink and eat at my desk, but will be so busy, as I have been out 4 weeks, just hoping I can get my Protein and fluids in. My large incision is hurting a little more today, but I just think over did it today. Good luck going back to work

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
