ella37 455 Posted October 22, 2016 Frustrated. I am 11 days post op. I lost 7 the first week and 6 the week of pre op diet. Just weighed myself today and I am at the EXACT same weight (to the 0.2 of a lb) as I was on day 7. I know everyone has stalls but it's super tough to see this early on. I wasn't expecting a huge loss in 4 days but to just see the number at exactly 222.2 really annoyed me. Is a stall THIS early common? Please don't lecture me here, I know that stalls happen but I'm feeling very unhappy.
limase63 39 Posted October 22, 2016 I stalled early too. Every body is different. I do think ppl w lower starting weights lose more slowly. I do think I lost some inches during the time of the stall - my clothes got bigger on me. Stick w your plan. It'll start coming off again, I promise. kelseysmommy 3 Posted October 22, 2016 Don't stress over it, I stalled and gained a pound even after 2 weeks. Just try and stay motivated and know after a couple days you will again lose the 3lb and 4 lbs. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted October 22, 2016 Frustrated - EXACT same weight @@ella37 4 days PO you might be retaining fluids from the IV your weight hasn't changed yet but you are not in an official stall a stall happens when you haven't lost any weight in at least 3 weeks don't get ahead of yourself in worry you'll start loosing weight, in its own time newbies don't know what to expect immediately PO re read your post - sounds like you know whats going on couple days after i was sleeved my mom called me. she was in a whisper and said, did your underpants fall to the floor?! (2 days PO) OP (whether person who had WLS or family/friend) don't know people will loose at first - then through their journey too calm down, try not to worry or get frustrated there will be plenty of time for that later! good luck kathy
