heath024 4 Posted October 22, 2016 I did to! I was cussing at the nurse and regretting it but once that pain went away i started to realize i could get through it! If your still in the hospital, definatly take them up on the pain meds! Mine offered to give me stronger ones to which were nice cause they just knocked me out for a bit! sumochik 22 Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) I was super nauseous too after surgery and the nausea meds they put in my IV didn't help. The first night was really bad and one of my nurses stayed with me and did breathing techniques to get me through until I could fall asleep. Try some deep breathing! It will get better! PorkChopExpress 821 Posted October 22, 2016 In a week you'll feel pretty much normal, maybe with a tiny bit of soreness but not bad. Just give it time, take it day by day, and do your best to get your Water and Protein in. Both are critical to the healing process, and you'll heal a lot faster and better if you get enough. vsg10.14.16 21 Posted October 22, 2016 Day 2 was the worst for me. I had so much gas pain but by day 4 I was back to normal driving to the grocery store and walking very fast. I was able to sleep on my stomach by day 6 and today I'm like 'What surgery'? Lol I feel completely back to my old self. I was 303 on 10.14 (date of surgery) & as of today I'm 285.6 The pain is temporary! Stay strong Sent from my SM-N930T using the BariatricPal App
