Baby Step Suggestions?

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone!

I have an initial appointment with the surgical center on Tuesday and have already completed one appointment with a nutritionist and completed my psychological evaluation.

I asked the psychologist for reading material suggestions and she gave me hers. I've ordered the book from Amazon.< /p>

I've been focusing on not drinking with lunch and chewing everything to the point of applesauce. I've also purchased some Protein Shakes to try for Breakfast as well as a Multi-Vitamin.< /p>

I've been lurking here for a bit trying to get an idea of what to do with myself for the next six months. I think I would be best served with small changes that accumulate over time v. making all changes right before surgery.

What were some of your baby steps? What resources did you find helpful?

Thanks!

-CG

I did several things pre-o that helped, including:

Weaning myself off of carbonation.

Weaning myself off of caffeine.

Tracking my food.

Practicing mindful eating.

Reading, a lot.

Participating in BariatricPal.

Choosing one small thing to focus on at a time is a great strategy.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
