kittykatja85 34 Posted October 19, 2016 Yes I'm calling my surgeons office to see if I need to see my PCP or him or go to the ER. But, I'm asking if anyone else has had this happen? I'm freaking out, anxiety disorder this does not help. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
rebcal 32 Posted October 19, 2016 Happened to me.. is it dark blood or sort of light and liquidy? Called surgeon right away and he told me it was normal and happened around the same time as you 4-5 weeks post op. Definitely call them tho! kittykatja85 34 Posted October 19, 2016 It's light and liquidy and there's something almost pus like about it too. Surgeons not in today (his day to do surgeries) so they suggested my PCP to make sure no infection. ???????????? ppressey24 254 Posted October 20, 2016 @@kittykatja85, did u see the dr about your incision? All of my little ones are gone already and i had my surgery on the 4th oct. Now the biggest 1 that he pulled the gallbladder and rest of stuff out of did the samething. It had scabbed over and i was taking a shower and the scab fell off. It looked like it wasnt healed on the inside because there was just a hint of blood but also really pink. It didnt look bad it just was a hint of blood. So maybe its something that just happens and that incision takes a minute to heal whereas the other little bites( they look like bug bites) healed great and i started putting Vitamin E oil on them and theyre fading away. So please get it checked if u think its pus Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
Sai 785 Posted October 20, 2016 At week 5, mine were basically completely healed. I put Neosporin daily on it. If you haven't already, take your temperature to see if you have a fever which will tell you if you have an infection.
Butterflywarrior 241 Posted October 20, 2016 If you didn't have a drain, my understanding is that it's normal for some blood, to come squirting out but pus is not a good sign especially if the site us warm or red. Any fever? Like the others said, I would contact someone on call asap
kittykatja85 34 Posted October 21, 2016 Oh! I forgot to update it went well She said I over exerted and that there wasn't anything that she saw that was bad. She put some steristrips on and told me to keep the area clean and to stop trying to be a wonder woman Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
