Womanvsmirror 314 Posted October 19, 2016 So as I am now within 30lbs of my "goal", I'm beginning to think that it may not be enough. When you hit your original scale goal , were you happy? Did it just make you want to drop more weight? Or was it just great to have come so far and you went straight to maintenance mode? Please share with me...I see a lot of people have moved way passed the "goal" they set for themselves.
Joy@boman 151 Posted October 19, 2016 This is my biggest fear and why I won't set a goal. Because I am afraid it will become my life to lose and stay on the scale Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Who'sThere 331 Posted October 19, 2016 Well, I didn't weigh my goal in middle school, so I doubt I'll want or need to go further than that. Even if I don't hit it, I think I'll be okay. After my first WLS (I have LapBand and am revising to RNY) I set my goal to 199. I couldn't even imagine being smaller. I think that was a mistake because I got to 218 and stalled. I didn't push myself to go further because I couldn't see myself even being smaller and convinced myself being healthiER (not healthy) was good enough. Not again. I'm ready to go as far as I can, but at the same time, I won't be upset if I don't get to my prepuberty weight.
