Dieing not really but feels that way.

Recommended Posts

2 weeks out, soft foods for a week now. Tried to eat some soft chicken yesterday. The first time I thought I was gonna die for the pain. Just a couple bites. So that was lunch. I went back to my full liquids. Today my new best friend tuna said oh no. 2 bites and uncomfortable, not dieing but ouch. So back to full liquids.

Anyone else experience this. I was fine all week eating whatever was on my plan.

No chicken for 6 months I was told , I guess it gives everyone problems. I'm 2 and a half weeks now and I try to stay with eggs, cheese, Beans and I added spinach to a cottage cheese bake and I did fine with it too. My diet will bump up a month out to add one knew thing at a time as tolerated . Just go by the rules and you will heal much faster. : )

Everyone has different reactions to foods. If it's on your plan but bothering you, leave it be and then come back to it in a week or two. I have a coworker who's 3 years post op and her new tummy is not her friend. It changes its mind daily on what it will or won't tolerate.

You don't need to rush the process towards solid foods. Take it one baby step at a time. Whenever you try chicken it must be tenderized. The way to do this is slow cook a chicken breast in a covered pot of Water with a bouillon cube for a few hours until the meat is so tender that it comes apart with your fork.

It was really tender chicken. Not the first time I've tried it either. It was like yesterday a switch flipped and said nope not eating anything. I did have some pinto Beans tonight a whole 11 Beans. No pain but just didn't want to aggregate anything. My Dr was pretty firm on going to soft foods a week ago. Every Dr is different I guess

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
