So i don't know if I'm where I'm suppose to be but I'm definitely pleased with my loss, energy level and the way my clothes fit. I feel like I'm losing too slowly but the scale continues to move down and that makes me optimistic for the future. I will be 2 months post op on October 25th. (Hoping to be down 40 lbs by then) anyway, I do like this app for tracking of weight loss. But it doesn't offer many options. Anyone have suggestions of apps that you use to track loss and perhaps activity? I'm thinking of getting an iwatch or Fitbit but am afraid I just won't use it much.

You're doing great! post-285792-14767023075899_thumb.jpg

I have a hard time keeping my Fitbit on - it all depends if you use it and what you want to track.

Thank you! Upon multiple searches via google and many others resources I could not find anything to reassure me that I was on track and not slowwwww. This chart helped a lot. Saving for future reference and to help other doubtfuls.

@@gustavio Awesome job in your weight loss. May I ask how many calories are you consuming a day? My energy is horrible and I haven't lost weight in2wks. I'm on my 5 wk post op

I track religiously with my fitbit. I input my weight, food, and exercise (it tracks walking off course but I enter my gym time and set goals there). I think it helps keep me accountable. It does not track Protein or carbs, but this has not been important to me (1. I eat so few carbs, 2. my nut and plan don't require me to track anything but my supplemental Protein and weigh my food).

I like being about to see my weight changes over time on the app, it helps me when I feel that I am going slow with weight loss to see the overall progress.

I honestly cannot take in more than 600-700. Some days maybe a bit more. I've heard I should be getting 700-800 but I have no appetite other than meal periods and can never finish my plate. I don't track like I should at all

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
