Asm0108 11 Posted October 16, 2016 So I'm 4 weeks postop and just had my first solid meal which consisted of half of a chop steak and a few bites of mashed potatoes. And I still did not feel full when I was finished. Am I eating too much??
gemigirl 134 Posted October 16, 2016 Did your surgeon give you guidelines for amounts and calories? I'm going to weigh my food once I start soft foods tomorrow. Per my guidelines I shouldn't have more than 4 ounces per meal. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Farcaster 80 Posted October 16, 2016 I'm always surprised when I hear something like this. For my first solid meal, I could barely get in 2oz of meat. Even after 4 months, I'm still only at around 4oz.
FunkyMunkyBrat 205 Posted October 16, 2016 Since I'm on my phone I can't see what forum this is.. Which surgery did you have? .. Either way from everything I've been reading at 4wks that sounds like a lot Munky
Pescador 1,374 Posted October 16, 2016 My husband and I share a small filet mignon, and can barely finish it. We were both sleeved. If we even had room for a side, it would be steamed zucchini, definitely not mashed potatoes. Perhaps the mashed potatoes (called slider foods), are sliding your meat on down, therefore you don't get the full feeling.
