Has anyone used gas x strips after surgery?

I'm 2 days post op and still full of gas and have been walking like crazy. The gas pains hurt so bad! Does anyone have any experience with using them?

I was told movement will only alleviate the trapped gas. Said gas is not in your stomach however. It was quite painful for me also. I alterated waking and lots of arm movements with hot showers. With my back to the spray.
