OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted October 16, 2016 I hope not, they are too high in carbs for sleevers, at least in the losing phase.
Icantbelieveit 955 Posted October 16, 2016 Way too carby for that amount of Protein. Premier Protein is 30 grams of Protein and 5g of carbs. Big difference. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App
glitter eyes 1,398 Posted October 16, 2016 Way to many carbs for me! I am in the maintenance phase, but in the past or even now when I drink Protein Shakes I choose one high in Protein and very low carb. I have used Premier Protein. My new favorite is the Inspire brand. Most flavors have less than 5 grams of carbs and have 20 grams of protein.
Shellybean22 1 Posted October 16, 2016 Interesting that the carbs are way to high. I have a hard time drinking those pre mixed premier Protein drinks from costco. Is there a powder version? Plus I was never given any guidelines on carbs. I was told to get my Protein in. Do you have any guidelines. I use Bariatric fusion powder and it's really good. You want to find a shake with low sugar - low carb - high protein.
lizardqueen 56 Posted October 16, 2016 For weight loss, you should try to stay under 50 carb grams a day. For rapid weight loss, they recommend 20 grams or less a day but that's hard. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Icantbelieveit 955 Posted October 16, 2016 Yes. The farther away from surgery, less carbs are the way to go for weightloss. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

Shellybean22 1 Posted October 17, 2016 @mr1121. I did not love drinking shakes since I had been on every diet under the sun all my life. A Shakeology coach friend of mine twisted my arm so I jumped on with both feet. I love the chocolate flavor. Never thought I would but I do. Shellybean22 1 Posted October 17, 2016 @icantbelieveit- I will discuss this with my Shakeology coach. The shakes may have higher carbs but it has super foods in it too. I think there are bene's in it. I agree about losing weight and lower carbs. I'm trying to workout everyday which is a new world for me. I'm just always needing to check in with sleevers because I'm alone over here trying to figure out my new me. ocgirl15 667 Posted October 17, 2016 Syntrax Nectar has a great carb to Protein ratio, is mix able even with Water. I liked fuzzy navel flavor. You can buy sample sizes on Amazon before you invest significant money.
