Absolutely. It has been lfechanging. I hope you don't wait until you have serious health issues like we did. It is the best thing we have ever done for ourselves. Good luck!

I would do it again several times a year (not kidding) if that was what was required to maintain my weight loss. Thankfully, it isn't, but yeah I would do it again and again and again if needed.

I am a peaceful person but if a medical team showed up and said they planned to do a takeback on my surgery (not medically possible ofc) I would beat them to death with my clawhammer and not regret it.

Sleeve surgery 10/19. BMI is on the lower end at 36. Lost 50lbs 5years ago and have put it all back on. Starting to feel anxious and second guess the decision. Would you do it again?

Absolutely. I started at a much higher BMI than you and am still at a higher BMI than you and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My sleeve surgery was a freaking cakewalk.

Not thing to it.

I'd do it again tomorrow without a second thought.

I would do it again. Only 6 weeks out - hunger gone, down 40 pounds and more energy than I've had in years.

I wish I could go back and not do it. Just not a good choice for me.

I am sincerely sorry to hear that and hope whatever problems you have get resolved. For me and my husband, it really was lifesaving with the severe health problems. Big hug.

No regrets. No complications. All excess weight gone. Maintaining loss for 7 months now. I changed my eating habits and like the way I eat now. I love that I will always have this restriction. I feel like I eat reasonably sized meals, I just can't overeat which is such a blessing.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
