facebro29 272 Posted October 13, 2016 I know itching at the incision site is a good sign that I'm healing but OMGosh my itching is keeping me up at night. Anyone experience this as you were healing? Thank God I still have plasters on my incisions until Sunday but after that it will be soooooo tempting to scratch. pammyjo 4 Posted October 13, 2016 Yes I have that same issue. Except my whole upper torso itches. It literally drives me crazy. Hopefully soon it will go away. I am 30 days post op. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

pammyjo 4 Posted October 13, 2016 I know. I feel like a dog with flees sometimes. I can finally have a bath after 30 days so soaking helps me. But showers tend to help a little bit too when I could only have those. So many different things happen with this surgery I think it just takes time to get used to it all. I remind myself it will. We totally worth it all when I lose this weight. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have put on an ab binder to help with the itching.
Torriluv87 300 Posted October 13, 2016 My sister gave me itch spray but it's for bug Bites and stuff so I'm scared to use it. It's witch hazel and aloe but im still scared. Im only 8 days out. They took the dressings off of mine the day after surgery. Which i thought weird but I'm glad they did cause the tape pulled skin off so there's that. It's just so itchy and my boyfriend is always telling me to stop scratching but he just doesn't know lol Sent from my SM-G925T using the BariatricPal App
trekker954 421 Posted October 13, 2016 I'm 9 weeks out and have been itchy for a couple of weeks now, especially my entire arms. My incision sites were never an issue. So weird. I started to lotion up a lot but it doesn't seem to help much. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

lalame 56 Posted October 13, 2016 Is it itchy and red? I had surgery on 09/06/16 and two days after all of my incision sites were red. I had an allergic reaction to the tape and/or glue. At first I was told to put hydrocortisone cream and take Benadryl. It didn't work. It got worse and I found my self scratching around the sites all day. It was getting irritated. The surgeon ended up giving me a cream with a steroid in it and that stopped the itching. It sounds like you may need that. Good luck. Don't scratch.
