midgelovescookies 19 Posted October 14, 2016 I have a bmi of 47.8 along with bipolar. Also on united and getting banded 10-19-16. Insurance approved. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
leslaine 121 Posted October 14, 2016 I have UHC and I am getting sleeved in Dec. With my policy, a BMI of 40 or higher qualifies you for surgery without the need of a co morbidity. They also required a 5 year weight history, a 6 month medically supervised diet and a psych eval. I had to go through all of the doctor's pre-testing as well. drawls6u 3 Posted October 19, 2016 @@erica2185 See if your weight checks from your doctors appointments will do. That could possible eliminate the 6 month wait period. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
