Has anybody experienced being cured of ED as a result from the weight loss? I'm curious if anyone knows of this, I didn't ask the surgeon. I'll ask when I go to my pre op appt. I just wanted to see what everybody had to say about the subject

@@hectorlopez323 Go on over to the Men's Room and you'll probably find the answer - or get more replies. I believe that weight loss can improve ED. The other issue is that often ED is a result of medications you are taking for blood pressure and those can often be stopped after you've lost weight.

Thanks I I didn't know there was a men's room. Got the app like 3 or 4 days ago. I'm going to look for it but so far these woman or mixed rooms have been very helpful and insightful. Tons of great advise.

Oh man, getting off of the BP meds took care of all of my problems. And of course the improved circulation helps of course. I was never diagnosed with ED, but I know there were times when the mid was willing but the body was not.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
