sumochik 22 Posted October 11, 2016 Can you put a banana in a Protein Shake while in the liquids phase? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Pescador 1,374 Posted October 11, 2016 You can put anything in but fruit has natural sugar and bananas are not a choice for me period. Try some SF Torani flavored syrups, they are good.
sumochik 22 Posted October 11, 2016 Ok that makes sense. Thank you for the substitute suggestion! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
blizair09 3,250 Posted October 11, 2016 My plan allows for a ripe banana beginning Day 15 post-op. (They have too many carbs for me, so I'm going to stay away, but they are on the plan...)

rolosmom7 740 Posted October 12, 2016 Full liquids I did. I can't get enough calories in yet but soon I will be skipping the banana
Brenda Sherwood 64 Posted October 13, 2016 That stinks. You are all probably right. I make my shakes with frozen banana chunks, makes them more like a real shake, cold and creamy
Nikkinee 94 Posted October 15, 2016 They gave me a banana shake in the hospital 2 days post op. I know they have sugar in them but they're also full of potassium & other good Vitamins. I personally would rather put something natural in my body than SF syrups full of chemicals & 0 nutrients. Just don't go crazy with them.
