Help! I am a week post op and I have a hard stool that I cannot pass and have been trying to since last night. Can someone give me any advice? Did this happen to you?

Milk of magnesia. It works within a few hours and it was the hardest BM I ever had. I wish I had taken another 1/2 dose to help things along because my butt was bleeding
