lemonzinger907 5 Posted October 11, 2016 Hello, I am looking for recommendations for the best Protein Shake out there. I don't care if it is pre-mixed or not. I have looked at powders? utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury, but it seems like people are saying that though the Protein is good, it doesn't have any other Vitamins or minerals. I am looking for the best most well rounded option. Low carb, high quality protein, Vitamin and minerals. Cost isn't a huge issue, mostly looking for high quality. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.
AmandaCox88 0 Posted October 11, 2016 I personally use unhurt. I am allergic to most the others because they sugar alcohols Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Julie norton 2,850 Posted October 12, 2016 I also like pure Protein, but I do order inspire Protein Powder online and blend with ice and milk. Just to mix it up....there are a multitude of flavors. Tasty
Butterflywarrior 241 Posted October 12, 2016 I like Premier Protein as well the chocolate is my favorite. I don't like the vanilla personally. The container is closable too so it can be re used it saved I mean and it's good for you with 30 grams of Protein 5 carbs and 1 gram of sugar I believe. lemonzinger907 5 Posted October 12, 2016 Thanks all, premier Protein is what I currently drink and I agree, great taste and great macros. I just wondered if the Protein not being a whey isolate mattered or not? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Butterflywarrior 241 Posted October 12, 2016 I think my nut told me today that whey isolate only means it's disolvable and Water soluble
lalame 56 Posted October 12, 2016 Primier Protein offers 30grams of Protein in an 11 oz bottle. Made me nauseous after surgery. 5 weeks post now and can drink it again. If you go to the website they offer various recipes. I just made the pumpkin shake with a bottle of vanilla Premier Protein and it was great! They have an apple pie recipe using apple sauce. I don't add any additional sugar. Inspire protein powders are also a great choice if you want new flavors. Peanut Butter cup is good. glitter eyes 1,398 Posted October 12, 2016 I really like Inspire Protein powder. They mix very easily, extremely low carb, 20 grams of protein per shake. They don't have that protein aftertaste and not gritty in texture. Many different flavors. Also, the Inspire is very gentle on my stomach. I also like the Premier Protein.< /p>
Torriluv87 300 Posted October 16, 2016 Having a slight freak out. Im 11 days out from sleeve surgery. I've been using the GNC total lean 25 Protein powder and it didn't occur to me that it had a lot of carbs. My NUT approved it. But it has 17g of carbs and 3g of sugar and 25g of Protein per 2 scoops (serving size). Im reading comments on here about protein and now im scared it's going to hinder my weight loss. I've been trying to get 3 down a day but it's hard. Doesn't help that it's gross. It's hard for me to aquire these things at the moment. Im unemployed and my family helps me. My sister buys most of the stuff i need. I don't want to bother her again. If my NUT says it's ok should i just keep with it and finish what i have?
