@@JMJames92 Welcome Joshua.... my suggestion to you.... stick to WLS questions... Most of us are very helpful. Some are not... hehe.... Try to stay away from politics and religion... some people are so damn touchy.

Seems like you are already on the right path.

Keep up the great job..

Welcome to BariatriPal. 49 pounds down. Amazing!

Thank you. Yeah I'm pretty stoked. I thought it was going to come off a lot slower even in the beginning.

@@Raynbolite I have started to realize that everyone has a different post-op experience. What happens for one person might happen slower, faster, or not at all for someone else. Glad to hear it's going well for you too though.

@bayourgirlmrsc Thank you for the advice. Most of what you said can be applied not only to this site but to life in general.

It is amazing how many changes I've noticed so far. I expected an increase in energy and I somewhat expected the improvement I've had in my depressions but I am amazed that the intensity of my ADD is decreasing.

@@JMJames92 Welcome Joshua! You are doing great so far, keep up the good work. I like to drink a few Premier Protein shakes a day just to make sure I get enough Protein. I drink one then wait 10 minutes then eat my lunch, I'll have another in the afternoon as a snack since I'm hungry all the time!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
