Left side burning pain

Recommended Posts

One issue left side abdomen pain. My pain has been great no meds really needed but 3 times since I had surgery a week ago, I've either turned over or trying to sit from laying position, left side a little below the waist line burns like fire. Only in the moment I move, a little tender after but felt literally like something tore. Anyone else

Yup! That's my sore spot too. If I move too fast it reminds me. Not burning, but a lovely sharp pain. Weird thing my left thigh gets really numb...like I could get a huge tattoo and probably not feel it...that may be too much as it turns to pins and needles as well.

Oops hit post too quickly. Wanted to say it's fantastic you are recovering so quickly and my pain meds gave me crazy nightmares! So still using Tylenol to ease that sharp pain.

Its a burny sharp pain after I'm OK. Not severe enough for a pain pill because it goes away but definitely ouch don't move like that again. How is your eating coming. My going on stage 3 quickly had me a bit nervous.

Definitely muscle from where they cut thru and moved around. I've lost a total of 48 lbs to date since January 18.5 since I started the liquid diet I'm 9 days post op. I already had a little hangage in my stomach area when I turn at night I feel like my cushion there is gone and it flops a bit. Found a flat pillow helps this pain pressed against me when I roll

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
