Havasumoma 250 Posted October 10, 2016 You really haven't taken much in so it might be awhile. Never hurts to take a softener IMO. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App

SalOdyssey 441 Posted October 10, 2016 Call your surgeons to see what they recommend. For me a stool softener was allowed. Remember you're not consuming much, and I've read people waiting 7+ days for the first bowel movement.
hking74 12 Posted October 10, 2016 Took me 5 days then milk of mag 5 days again. After that it isn't hard anymore. It gets hard from surgery and pain meds. It constipates you. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
mallnut 22 Posted October 10, 2016 I had my sleeve on 10/5 and still no BM. I have been taking a stool softener since the surgery but nothing yet. I feel exactly like you do! Need this stomach to go down. Also my back hurts. One day at a time I guess Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
ineffably_yb 8 Posted October 10, 2016 Are you still taking pain medication? Those can prevent your regularity. If you are you should take Miralax to combat the effects of the pain meds. Also, walk walk walk walk. It helps with gas little by little and promotes better bowel movements. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Raynbolite 302 Posted October 10, 2016 Walk walk walk and as much Fluid as possible. If it becomes painful, call your dr and ask for best options to clean you out. I waited too long.."its just constipation"...I had a miserable time. Hope you feel better. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
