There was an additive to add to the wash to shrink clothes a few sizes. I used to loath the dryer tightening jeans and sweaters. Now I leave them in extra and now my sweaters look like dresses lol.

I started almost a year ago to date and down 110lbs including presurgery loss. I am currently cycling down through my sizes and about 2 months away from getting into my favorite clothes in those sizes.

Another nsv is getting into my rings I havent worn in 5yrs ????????????????????????????????????

I often wish that too! I finally find a shirt I love that fits me well, is comfortable, and actually looks halfway decent... and I'm suddenly swimming in it by the next wear. It's depressing. :'(

I enjoy shopping even clothes shopping and I am rather good at it. So generally I can buy clothes out of season for around 75% off retail or more. It is a little like bargain hunting or treasure hunting.

As I lost weight I had to replace my entire wardrobe. It not only affected my waistline but also my shoulders. I started to get comment that I began to look like the Disney cartoon character Dopey in Snow White. This is because all sleeves on my jackets and coats became so long that my fingers were no longer visible. Some people even have to buy new shoes because the shoe size or width can become too large.

In the end I landed up with a wardrobe that was the latest style and looked good on me. I gave away all my old clothes. I am 3 years post-op and there is no going back on these changes.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
