Mrs Elliott8791 28 Posted October 9, 2016 Hello everyone near and far. My name is Nessa I am 29 years old, I started my journey Nov 2011 weighing 488.5lbs. I had VSG 1/17/12 and have lost 133.5lbs. Since my surgery I dropped down to 353lbs had two kids and from that I have gained 35lbs I believe my math could be off I am roughly 389lbs as of today. So I went and talked with my surgeon on how I can get back on track because I pretty much been holding on to the 300s for the past three years. They strongly think I should think about having RNY done. So hear I am guess just looking for more info and possibly read some experiences from that and gain a friend or two in the process. thank you for reading. shedo82773 1,236 Posted October 9, 2016 Hi Mrs.Elliott8791 I am 3 years out from my RNY. This has been one of the best things I have done for myself and my family. From your VSG do you still have any restrictions? I don't know much about the SLEEVE but my hubby had one June 3, 2016 and he doesn't seem to be able to lose weight very fast. At least you aren't waiting until you gain everything back. Good for you!! I have had good results with only a few quirks I did have strictures and needed 5 ENDOSCOPES with 4 DILATIONS with my last one on Jan 2015. No more problems since!! Thank goodness. My HW 249 SW 232 LW 117#'s CW 125#'s. I am no able to exercise which I feel is my saving grace. I walk 4 to 5 miles 4 to 5 days a week. I eat Protein first ( most of the time that is all I can get in) I don't drink when I eat. I don't drink Carbonated drinks at all. You already have a handle on whAt you need to do. I think you will do GREAT!!! I hope everything works out for you!! Good Luck

The Dr. Said it looks like it did when I first got sleeved. She just thinks with how high my BMI is and staying in the 300s for sometime, I might be one of the few that need an extra surgery to get to goal. The only issue I have is heartburn badly but they gave me some scripts to help. Sent from my HTCD100LVWPP using the BariatricPal App
