ranchgirl 0 Posted September 17, 2007 How do they know if the band has slipped prior to your fill. Do they xray?
TulipStar 2 Posted September 17, 2007 The new band has pockets where the saline goes instead of the band of saline The pockets help grip around the stomach so it is more even when you get fills and prevents slippage. I have seen a couple. Ask your dr to see one when you go to his office. Also, if you have lapband seminars in your area, they usually have a sample new band to pass around (if they have the new band).

ranchgirl 0 Posted October 5, 2007 Ranchgirl, which naked Protein do you drink. I tried them they seemed too thick. I was thinking about adding a bit of Water to them. Hi Cerrin, I use a Protein Drink from a company called Naked juice. I got it at the healthfood store, however some markets carry it as well. Hope you can find it. It isn't thick, I don't like the thick ones. Good luck. ranchgirl
ranchgirl 0 Posted October 5, 2007 I got my first fill yesterday. I drank liquids for the firs 24 hours and then tried to eat a little tonight. It didn't take much and it felt like I had food in my throat. I ate too fast. I am so afraid I'll be on liquids forever. Any suggestions on what to eat. Hope all going well for everyone. ranchgirl

kacee 3 Posted October 20, 2007 Also, Isopure has a clear Protein drink (like koolaid or fruit punch) and it is very good and each bottle contains 40 grams of Protein and only 160 calories. It's not the cheapest stuff on the block, but it fits with all post surgery diets...liquids, mushies, etc. and four month out I use it whenever I am not going to be getting a quality amount of protein for a day. Here is a website.... index
