tmenzia74 0 Posted October 9, 2016 Im 8 years post op. Ive been having very bad pouch pain for over a month now. My GP put me back on omeprazole and I dont feel any better. Im going in for a scope on Monday to see if another ulcer is there. What happens if they find an ulcer? Feeling miserable! shedo82773 1,236 Posted October 9, 2016 I had an ulcer and finally my PCP put me on DEXALENT. WHAM BAM done. Talk to your Dr about this. The OMEPRAZOLE didn't help me at all. Doesn't hurt to ask. Good Luck
Amyllf2 206 Posted October 13, 2016 I had a bleeding ulcer 5 months out. 2 days in hospital. Lots of yucky meds and a lot throwing up blood. But the meds eventually stopped it and I didn't need surgery. It's been 2 years now with no more issues.
akmarsh 5 Posted January 8, 2017 I had the scope just to confirm it was an ulcer but they don't do anything to fix it. Omneprezol and Carafate was what I took. Carafate is a chalky liquid you take 1 hr before each meal. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
