Sex after two weeks

Recommended Posts

Don't wait! My sweetie and I played around starting day 2. Slow and easy was day 5. Day 9 was like teenagers in the back of a mustang but without the mustang.

Wow. Jealous. Im laying here next to my boyfriend and sex is THE LAST thing on my mind lol. If it helped with this gas pain which is still kicking my butt i might actually give it a try. But i know he'd be very against it lol.

My doctor said 6 weeks minimum.. last thing on my mind! Of course it doesn't help that surgery was yesterday morning and I'm still in hospital... glad your feeling up to it!

My doctor said sex whenever you feel comfortable. So it was 2 weeks for us.

Exactly! The doc said whenever I felt up to it. I was asked to take it easy at first because we explained that we are quite sexual and adventurous. Nine days was fine for us to resume like our usual selves.

I have a question for the women (sorry HFFM). During your....happy ending, does your stomach not hurt from the convulsing? I've had days where I wake up the morning after and had sore abs from it. I'm 6 days post op but worried I'll hurt my tummy.

Sorry, there was no way I could word that without it being TMI for some people. ;)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
