Pain meds

Hi, i am one week out today, Oct 1st, and I have been home since Wednesday, i haven't taken the prescribed pain meds and I am wondering how long everyone else was on them?

I feel discomfort and a deep sore in my abdomen, but over all I'm fine, my stitches are heading nicely as well.

I took them fairly regularly the first week, just because I really wanted to get walking and moving, but I knew that would result in soreness...so I'd just head it off at the pass with the Tylenol+Codeine I was prescribed. It worked really well and I was able to get up to about 2 miles a day in walking, about a week after surgery. At the end of the week, I stopped taking it and haven't really needed it again. I have a bunch extra, guess I'll keep it around for nighttime headaches or something!

I was off of them the second day home. I had mild discomfort but nothing that reg Tylenol couldn't handle. Plus, I had to drive and had to be off narcotics first. I'm 16 days post op and have ZERO pain. Actually feel normal, until I try to eat
