Yaya B 49 Posted October 7, 2016 I'm almost 4 weeks post op and when I drink or eat I don't really get the feeling of being full. Is this normal? Kinda worried because my biggest fear was that my sleeve wouldn't work. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted October 7, 2016 Your goal with the sleeve should never to be full. Being full hurts, and it really hurts early out. Once you get full, it won't be something you strive for. Everyone heals differently. Some people have their nerves take longer to reconnect. You didn't say what you are eating so it is hard to judge if anything you are eating will actually trigger restriction. Even with restriction, you should never rely on feeling full to judge when to stop eating. Measure your portions and only eat those portions.
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted October 7, 2016 "Full" means "overate." It's an uncomfortable feeling. In a perfect world you will feel satisfied, meaning something like thinking, "Hm, I could have another bite or two, but I don't need them."

It seems like I get hungry again shortly after eating, so I can't tell if I'm eating enough or not and I hate that I'm constantly feeling hungry. I dont want to over eat, so I'm trying to be careful. I'm calling my dietician tomorrow because this has gone on for a few days now and it's getting really uncomfortable. When you eat some meat, you will learn what full feels like
