spunkyheather 10 Posted October 6, 2016 I have tried Quest, not crazy about them. Are there any good ones out there? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

SeahawksFan 444 Posted October 6, 2016 I don't like Quest either and I've spent a small fortune on them and even given some away. My favorite Protein bars are Power Crunch. They taste more like a cookie. They have a little less Protein than others around 13 g but only 5 g sugar and around 200 calories. I get them on Amazon but you can go Walmart or GNC and they have individual one's you can buy and taste before you buy a box. The flavors I like are Peanut Butter fudge, mint choco, salted carmel and vanilla. Another one I like is Combat Crunch. Those are more expensive but bigger bar and usually 20 G of protein. Good luck- LA
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted October 6, 2016 (edited) My favorite Protein Bar is no Protein bar . . . they are Satan's work IMO. Turkey Jerky or some chopped up chicken breast in a little tupperware container is lower calorie, lower carb, higher protein, more filling, and often cheaper too. Nutritionally not much different from candy bars with protein added. I've noticed that people tend to get obsessive about their Protein Bars the way they used to with candy bars or brownies or whatever. True story -- my mom has a weight problem. She tends to be underweight! She has to work hard to keep her weight up to a normal range (yes I resent this bigtime). Her doctor ordered her to eat a protein bar every day in order to stop weight loss. If she finds she is losing weight, she has to eat two protein bars a day. It works for her! Protein bar = no more weight loss. Two protein bars = weight gain. Edited October 6, 2016 by Bufflehead
lizardqueen 56 Posted October 6, 2016 We like the "No Cow" bars. Don't like Quest. Atkins has some good tasting ones too but they aren't too high in Protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Protein bar = no more weight loss. Two Proteins bars = weight gain. I understand what ur saying but I think it depends on the protein bar. Some are actually healthy but you have to read carefully just like protein drinks....we can't just choose any one out there....
kharenzhee 39 Posted October 9, 2016 I wasn't crazy about the Quest bars at first, but now they are my go-to bars. Their high Fiber content has helped me a lot, as I was having some Constipation issues. I tried other Protein bars, but they were too candy-like for me, and I noticed they started triggering cravings. So, I found some Quest flavors that I liked, and I've been sticking with them. I have about 4-5 each week; never more than one per day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
