Genr2d2 21 Posted October 10, 2016 I too have PCOS. What I 'be done to combat facial hair is laser. That seems to have worked the best. Yes, it still grows back, but its finer and not so thick. Right now I use a noxema facial blade for a dermaplaning-like experience. I'm pleased with the results because I was tired of the reactions I was having to prolonged facial hair bleaching and just didn't want to wax anymore (I was having to wax once a week). I'll probably go back for laser hair removal.
GypsySoul 6 Posted October 12, 2016 @@natarshassleeve Laser is the only real option. I have suffered since puberty with hair growth in places no girl should have. Luckily laser hair removal is a competitive market in miami I pay 89 for 6 treatments I go once a month. I have been doing this for 2 years. No they are not 100 percent gone. PCOS screws us that way BUT it is 85 percent gone and I basically keep going to as a form of managing it. I no longer have to shave twice a day. Usually only once a month about the time I have to go zap those folicals.again. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
sammy246 235 Posted October 12, 2016 I've had laser and loved it. Unfortunately, if the growth is hormonal (like it is for PCOS ladies, it is not likely to be permanent. It was worth it to me though because if significantly reduced the amount down to a manageable level. I need to go back! laGata15 41 Posted October 12, 2016 I have pcos and had a full coarse beard..I mean it was terrible. I use to wax until I got a boyfriend and he would show up sometimes unannounced so I would have to shave real quick. Shaving lead to a horrible 5 o'clock shadow Make up did not even help. Just made me super depressed. I shaved in the AM before work and at 12pm I was in the bathroom shaving again it grew back at a fast rate I just wanted to tear my face off lol. After some online digging I came across Ideal image " changing lives foundation" I submitted my story and won 1year free laser treatment! Man it changed my life. I still have hair growth because of the hormonal issues with Pcos but it grows back so light and thin you can't even tell, and you have like a month with no hair on your face ,just a smooth baby face lol. It's not prickly anymore either. I have my last free appointment in 2weeks. After that I have to pay. I will pay w.e laser treatments saved my face. They only ask for like a testimony from you. But no one has ever reached out to me this whole year. I say check them out. They don't advertise this program much since its free but it really did change my life. 1 SleeveMe88 reacted to this
