butterfly23 423 Posted October 5, 2016 My plan allows for drinking right up until eating and then no drinking until at least 30 min after eating When I have pushed it because I was thirsty, sometimes it made me sick so I try to stick with it.

manitobamama 10 Posted October 5, 2016 That's how most of us got to the point of surgery...washing our food down. I don't like it any better and won't change what my doc says until pigs grow wings and fly manitobamama
Raynbolite 302 Posted October 5, 2016 If you drink when you eat, it washes the food right down. You don't have time to get the nutrients and you can get hungry faster. It's a pain, but works. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Sai 785 Posted October 6, 2016 Waiting 30 minutes after you eat also reduces the likelihood of bloating/gas. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
sc101071 398 Posted October 6, 2016 We get to drink up to a meal. My nutritionists said there is no evidence that stopping 30 min prior to eating affected weight loss. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

JeffVII 1 Posted October 8, 2016 Do you have to wait 30 minutes between drinking and eating for life? Sent from my LG-K550 using the BariatricPal App im like 8 months out and do feel sickish if i drink right away, the only time you could eat and drink is if you eat a small bite of something and not like a full meals or snack
Raynbolite 302 Posted October 8, 2016 I would as long as possible. Drinking after flushes the food down faster, so you are hungrier faster and absorb less nutrients. We need all the nutrients we can get with smaller portions. Just my take on it. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
