busybeebug 415 Posted October 5, 2016 Okay I drank milk a few days ago about 1 hour afterwards I had mild stomach/intestinal pains. Thought it was just normal gas post surgery. Had eggs the next day and they did not sit well at all, intestinal pain. Drank a premiere Protein Shake tonight for the first time post op And let's just say pain was horrendous and bipolar expulsion was the worst I've had in recent memory. So I am thinking milk and dairy at the moment is not my friend. My plan, and literature, says it can happen. Anybody else run into this issue? busybeebug 415 Posted October 5, 2016 Eating drinking anything else creates no problem. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
Pazza 199 Posted October 5, 2016 I had bypass and had this problem. From what I have read it is fairly common and for some people goes away time. I take Lactaid/Lactase with anything dairy or whey. Makes my life a lot better. I get a big box from costco. Take 3 pills with a premier Protein shake. Just let them dissolve in my mouth as I drink the shake.< /p> Good luck and feel better. busybeebug 415 Posted October 5, 2016 Thank you. I'm hoping it's temporary until I heal better. I was having a pretty good day today except for these last 4 hours. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
rolosmom7 740 Posted October 5, 2016 I have lactaid milk, but have gotten sick off pudding, scrambled egg, and ricotta bake. So I think me and egg are not friends.
