Surgery on 10/14 - laparoscopic success?

I'm being sleeved on 10/14. Following pre-op, doing everything I'm told. I'm very nervous about success of laparoscopy v. traditional surgery. I've had 2 c-sections and a hysterectomy (which was attempted 1st laparoscopic). Has anyone experienced traditional surgery? What kind of recovery was involved.
